Diversity in Culture and Nature

The most culturally diverse part of Bangladesh, the Chittagong Hill Tracts is full of adventure. You'll see beautiful sunsets and panoramic views atop hills, lakes, waterfalls, and visit some of the few Buddhist temples in the country. Learn about the people of Bandarban and surrounding areas, try unique food and handicrafts, from tribal villages well worth the hike.

And yes, there is an active ship graveyard in Chittagong, but please message us about the social responsibilities of visiting such a site.

Special permits needed, please book at least 2 weeks in advance.

Day 1: Begin by train or bus to Chittagong, where we will arrive in the evening to enjoy the sunset at Patanga Beach.

Day 2: After sightseeing in Chittagong, visiting the Ethnological Museum and Chatteshwari Kali Temple, we will continue to Rangamati. We will arrive in Rangamati in the afternoon and depending on the time, walk around the town and explore a tribal handicraft market.

Day 3: Today, we cruise around the beautiful Kaptai Lake, enjoy the Shuvalong falls, visit the tribal museum, and cross the picturesque Hanging Bridge (name aside, it is quite sturdy). Along the way to Rangamati, we will also visit Rajbari (Chakma King's Palace) and Rajbana Vihara (Buddhist Monastery).

Day 4: In the morning, we take off for Bandarban, our next destination at the heart of the Chittagong Hill Tracts. We will have time to get to know the town and go for a short hike to the Golden Temple overlooking the hilly surroundings.

Day 5: We will have the whole day to soak in the beauty of the surrounding area. We will learn about the cultural diversity of the Hill Tracts by visiting tribal villages while hiking through lush green hills surrounded by amazing views.

Day 6: Arrive back to Dhaka where we will say goodbye and wish you a happy journey to your next destination. As we say in Bangla, Abar Ashben!
